MORNING PRAYER Thursday, January 22, 2026

“What this means is that those who become Christians become new persons. They are not the same anymore, for the old life is gone. A new life has begun!”  2 Corinthians 5:17

Lord, when I became a Christian, I began a process of sanctification that transforms me into a new creation.  The problem is that many of us want to stay the same as we’ve always been. As this may be okay to make a few minor adjustments, however, your requirements are more radical.  As this scripture indicates, we are to become a new creation; we must become willing to let old habits go to live a holy life.  Help me, Lord, to allow you to renew my mind and become a living sacrifice, because of all you have done for me.  I will no longer conform to the ways of the world but will be transformed by the renewing of my mind. Then I’ll be able to test and approve what God’s will is, His good, pleasing, and perfect will.  (Romans 12:2)

In the Precious name of Jesus, I pray, Amen.
