The theme is “Elevate Pride, A Celebration of Cultural Awareness in Stride.” There will be vendors, music, food, and live entertainment after the parade. 25 - CSUB SUPER SUNDAY during the worship service. Super Sunday is part of the systemwide African-American initiative, in which CSU’s visit African-American Churches in our community to encourage their youth to learn more about higher education.

12 – OFFICIAL BOARD MEETING CANCELED – All auxiliary reports are still due on Saturday, March 9, 2024.

16 – BLACK FAMILY WELLNESS EXPO - at Lowell Park ~ 800 4th Street from 9AM–2PM. The theme is “360 Degrees Total Wellness.” Join them for a day of fun and education for an inclusive community health fair that addresses the health needs of all families. 23 – EASTER FAMILY DAY PICNIC - More details are forthcoming.


28 – MAUNDY THURSDAY - Maundy Thursday is part of the Christian celebration of Easter and marks the night of the Last Supper as told in the Bible. At the Last Supper, Jesus commanded that people should love one another, he then washed the feet of his disciples as an act of kindness. This celebration will be held in Noah’s Ark. SEVEN LAST WORD PRESENTERS NEEDED – Attention Laity (all church members) the Lay Organization is seeking speakers for the Good Friday service, on Friday, March 29, 2024, at noon. If you want to research one of the seven last words, please contact Sister D. Williams. 

ALBERTA W. DILLARD LAY CHALLENGE “SCHOLARS HUB”Attention all Students Grades 1st-12th. The Alberta W. Dillard Lay Organization offers monetary awards for a grade point average (GPA) of 3.0 or higher and/or perfect attendance. You may sign-up for one challenge or both challenges. You must be a member and attend church. To participate in this opportunity, you MUST SIGN-UP in advance. Sign-up deadline is Sunday, March 17, 2024. For more information, please contact Sister D.
