25-31 - 3rd QUARTERLY CONFERENCE (Electronic Copy)
Church Ministry and Programs
BARBARA RANSOM THANK YOU - I would like to extend my heartfelt thanks to Sister D. Taplin for the special 93rd birthday shoutout last Sunday, and to my church family for your thoughtful birthday wishes, text messages, and phone calls. Your kind expressions of love truly made my day extra special. I am grateful for each of you and sincerely appreciate all the love you shared. May God bless you all!
146th CHURCH ANNIVERSARY - As we prepare to celebrate our 146th Church Anniversary on Sunday, August 16, 2026, at 3:00 PM, let us come together with grateful hearts and great anticipation for what God has done and continues to do through the ministry. We are honored to welcome one of our own, Rev. Dominic Holland of Carter Memorial A.M.E. Church in Fresno, as our guest preacher for this special occasion. The theme is “A Future Filled with Hope” from Jeremiah 29:10-11. We invite every member to become motivated, excited, and filled with the joy and power of the Holy Spirit as we honor 146 years of faithful service in this church and the community. This year’s anniversary assessment is $146.00 per member. The proceeds will support sanctuary improvements. Now is the time to celebrate God’s faithfulness, reflect on our rich legacy, and look forward to an even brighter future. If you have any questions, please contact Sister D Williams, Chair.
4th PASTORAL APPRECIATION - Jeremiah 3:15 says, “And I will give you shepherds after my own heart, who will feed you with knowledge and understanding.” This is our theme scripture for the weekend of October 3–4, 2026, as we come together as a church family to honor and celebrate the faithful leadership, tireless service, and loving guidance of our pastor, the Rev. Mercedes Tudy-Hamilton. Her dedication has touched our lives in countless ways, and now it is our turn to show our gratitude. On Saturday, October 3, 2026, at 10:00 a.m., we will host a Celebratory Brunch at the Downtown Bakersfield Marriott. Tickets are on sale now through Eventbrite for $75.00 per person. On Sunday, October 4, 2026, at 3:00 p.m., we will gather for a celebration here at Cain Memorial A.M.E. Church. We are excited to share that our guest speaker will be the Rev. Kirkpatrick Tyler of Parks Chapel AME Church in San Fernando. Come and enjoy a time of worship, heartfelt tributes, uplifting music, and fellowship. Let us make this a weekend filled with joy, encouragement, and love as we honor the one who so faithfully shepherds our hearts.

CAPITAL FUNDRAISING - Your gift to our Capital Fundraising Campaign is an investment in the future of our church and community. Together, we are building a multi-purpose facility that will serve as a place to gather, celebrate, learn, worship, and support one another for generations to come. No contribution is too small—every gift brings us one step closer to making this vision a reality. We are also pleased to offer two exclusive Wall Naming Opportunities within the new facility, available for a gift of $15,000 each. Whether given as a leadership contribution, a family legacy gift, or in honor or memory of a loved one, your generosity will leave a lasting impact and become a permanent part of this historic project. We invite you to prayerfully consider partnering with us today. Together, we can build a place where faith, fellowship, and community will flourish for years to come.
